Happy Halloween! Day 141 of my juice fast! :) Since it's my birthday I made a special juice - delicata squash & carrot juice with pumpkin spice. Yum! I'm into my last 2 weeks of just juice. I'll be coming off the juice fast on Nov. 12th - a few days after my 5 month mark. It's been a joy & I'm looking forward to doing it again (but not as long) next year. It's such an amazing cleanse! I have to say I feel incredible! I don't feel at all like 46 years old today! If we didn't have to run our store we'd be at Disneyland today!!! :D

Juice Recipes
I found some juice recipes in this article that I wanted to share with you. Remember to use organic! Happy Juicing!!
Breakfast Blast

Kim's Day 90 of the Juice Cleanse
I'm on my 90th day of juicing. My morning juice was all organic celery, cucumber, parsley, lemon, kale, ginger and a radish. I also added Real Salt (for the minerals) and a sprinkle of cayenne (for cleansing). I can't express how incredible I feel! I have so much energy! And I also feel so blissful on the juice fast! This is such an amazing experience!!! If you feel too over whelmed to try a juice fast, I would just start out by adding fresh organic veggie juice to each of your meals. Then try replacing one of your meals with veggie juice. Then you can decide if you'd like to try all juice for one day or a few. If you want to jump right in and juice fast, shoot for 10 days, then see how you feel. Do more if you'd like or wait for another time.
Personal Note: I've been vegan since 1991 and all organic since 1996, and Sean has been vegan and organic since 2002. Sean and I went 100% raw in 2003 to 2006 for Sean and 2007 for me and we've been high raw up until this summer when we went back to 100% raw.

Day 45 Of Our Juice Cleanse

Yes, we're still going strong on our juice cleanse & feeling great! Tomorrow I'll be taking the cleanse a step further & getting an ozonated colonic from Myron at Angel Healing Center. If you want the best colonic you'll ever have, give Myron a call 702-474-9998. The last time I went to Myron for a series of 3 colonics, my feeling of brain fog completely disappeared as I walked out from the first colonic...it was amazing! I'm really looking forward to adding this to my juice cleanse to see what I feel like and really jump up my cleansing process! Even if you're not doing a juice cleanse, I'd highly recommend getting colonics from Myron, because your health reflects what's happening in your colon & your digestion. You're not only what you eat, but what you assimilate. If you're eating healthy, but have never addressed cleaning out what is in your colon from your past eating habits you may not be getting all of the nutrient value from your foods. If you have any questions give Myron a call & he'll be happy to answer them.

Juice Cleansing Day 8 -15

Busy at the store, so I'll be combining days. We're still on our juice cleanse. Our skin looks great and our clothes are getting looser. We can feel that our bodies are in repair mode.

Remember this is for 2 people.
organic celery, organic zucchini, organic tomatoes, organic romaine, organic red bell pepper, & organic lemon.
Here's what it looked like after it was juiced, but before I stirred it together.
We decided it was too good to gulp down from a glass, so we put it in bowls & used a spoon.
Remember to "chew" your juice, so it gets mixed in with your saliva to help with digesting.

Juice Cleansing Day 5

We've made it to day 5!
We've had some questions about how we're doing our juice cleanse, so I thought I'd take some time today to let you know. Sean and I are vegan and mostly raw, so transitioning into a juice cleanse was fairly easy for us. If you're wanting to do a juice cleanse coming from a Standard American Diet, you may want to start cutting out meat, poultry, fish, eggs and dairy out of your diet and add lots of fresh raw organic produce to it for a week or 2 before you juice cleanse. If your on any medications, you'll want to have your doctor monitor you to make sure if you're dosage needs to be altered. Here's a great website that is dedicated to juice fasting JuiceFeasting.com

We've made it to day 4! The first 3 days are the ones you have to get used to not eating solid foods and we've flown through them. Yea! Still feeling great!
Here's another juice recipe:
The recipe is for 1 person.
1/2 organic lemon
2 organic romaine lettuce leaves
1 bunch organic cilantro
5 organic celery stalks (with leaves)
2 organic tomatoes
1 organic carrot (unless you're watching your sugars)
Enjoy!

Juice Cleansing Day 3

Well, here we are on day 3. We've been shedding 2 lbs. a day so far on our juice feast. We're feeling great and surprisingly not craving solid foods...the juices are so packed with nutrition (and delicious!) that we haven't felt deprived.
Here's the juice recipe we've been enjoying for lunch:
(Recipe for 1 person)
1 quarter inch organic ginger
1/2 an organic lemon
2 organic grapefruits
organic stevia powder to sweeten
When juicing lemons you can leave the skin on, but for grapefruit you need to peel them.
We've also been supplementing our juice feast with spirulina powder and chlorella powder in alkaline water to help us get rid of toxins. We're also using Cellfood in our alkaline water.

Sean and I started a juice feast yesterday. We're juicing organic veggies for breakfast and dinner, and having organic grapefruit, lemon & ginger juice for lunch. For mid-morning and afternoon "snacks" we're drinking organic lemon juice in alkaline water and detox teas.
Here's our breakfast juice recipe:

It's important to use organic produce especially for juicing and a cleanse, because you don't want to overload your body with the toxins from pesticides from conventional produce.
